Thanksgiving in January!

Welcome to 2009! I wish for us all an inspired, creative and healthy 2009.

Thanksgiving in January. Is she daft you may ask? I was fortunate enough to spend Christmas day with a friend and her family. This is out of the ordinary when you are Jewish! I was truly exposed to the understanding of “thanks‐giving”. My friend, let’s call her Maude, is big on family and on Christmas day rounded up all the waifs. There we were – an allsorts: from Jewish to Christian, from single people to families and single parents, from different race and gender… and yet the resounding thread that held us all together, was this transparent yet powerful steel‐like knowingness of giving thanks.

Cupid has flown the coop and so have the hens; Easter bunnies have gathered and distributed the eggs!

The past 2 months have created an interesting space of "sweet reflection" for me and the questions that have "egg‐cited" me are:
‐ What is a true space of sweetness for me?
‐ How do I create a more sustainable sense of sweetness?
‐ How do I pay the sweetness forward?

About to launch into my first newsletter off my brand new website, http://www.inneri.co.za/ and I am pulled between two trains of thought. (Some of you would say that being a Gemini, this is normal)! On the one hand the "professional" voice says: construct an informative document! On the other: "celebrate".

And celebrate we will! I would like to offer the first 10 people who call and book for either a discovery coaching session or the archetype workshop, a 10% discount.

Newsletter - June 2008

I was fortunate enough to have attended a phenomenal coaching workshop this weekend, which focused on who we are, as individuals, in the world. So, following that experience, I would like to share with you, the flow of thoughts that it unleashed, and I will call this newsletter "Footprints".

How many times in your life, have you lifted your hands in resignation or shrugged your shoulders, deflecting the situation, saying "there is nothing that I can do about it"...?

How many times in your life, have you said out aloud, or quietly to yourself, that you would like to make a difference in the world, leave a legacy and then quickly add "even if it is just within my family"

Change in my midst

Who do you invite to your dinner parties and what is the topic of conversation?

I recently had a dinner party and invited some of my closest friends, or are they foe? Who are these people you may ask...Well, it was me, as hostess, and then myself in the archetypal roles of Victim, Child, Saboteur and Prostitute.

Dinner conversation was all about the concept of change and what this evoked in each of us. I commented on a magician's act that I had been privy to see‐ where a table was beautifully set with a lace tablecloth, crystal glasses and china. The magician, before our very eyes, with a flick of his wrist, had pulled out the tablecloth from underneath the glasses and china. All "appeared" to be as it was before, and yet it wasn't!

What’s love got to do with it?

What’s love got to do with it?

With the month of “love” behind me, and all that it raised, this month’s newsletter is a little philosophical.

Do you recall Tina Turner’s hit song of 1984 “What’s love got to do with it?”…Well let me ask you: What has love got to do with that which you do? And what does your love song sound like?

What do Joan Baez and John Dunne have in common? They both speak of a similar notion = collaboration!

Joan Baez – “no man is an island no man stands alone, we need each other…”
John Dunne – “no man is an island entire of itself…”

Choppy Times

New offerings in choppy times!

I don’t know about you, but I am feeling somewhat overwhelmed at the moment: It wasn’t too long ago that it was Valentine’s Day and then there was Passover and Easter and the Easter Bunny has barely moved out and chocolate eggs are being marked down AND Mother’s Day is upon us!

Time and the perceived lack of it; Money and the perceived lack of it; Personal power and the perceived lack of it, are all prevailing conversations around me at present.
